Happenings Summer 2013

Preschool officially starts this week! :) Which kinda means that summer is slowly coming to an end. So we have lived it up! I have only worked three days so far in the month of August. We went to Tyler's parents lake house, we spent some time at home with just the girls as a family and I have set out on a few little adventures with my girls these past few weeks. We have spent lots of time in the sand and in the water. The girls love both so it is fitting to find us in out bathing suits most days. Unfortunately the weather has not cooperated as much as we would have liked but seeing as building sand castles can provide for hours of fun, it has all worked  out! Since we saw how much the girls liked the sand and water in Minnesota we found our own little spot to take the girls to this weekend. We spent the day with my parents in Lake Geneva on the beach swimming and running up sand hills, eating some crunchy sand with our picnic lunch. We have also spent lots of time playing outside with neighborhood friends, riding bikes and just letting the kids be kids. Isnt that the best part about warm weather, all you need is a little sunshine, good people and kids to have a fun time. We went to the park the other day and the girls got "underdogs" on the swings for an hour. I wish I could have bottled up the sound of there laughter! As fun as it has been we are ready to wind down some long summer days with routines all out of whack and get ourselves back on track. The girls will be starting there new daycare aka "school" on Tuesday. For Franki she will be in the preschool classroom learning all sorts of new things. She loves to learn so I cant wait to hear all the stories she will have to tell us. She is all ready for school, backpack is packed, I trimmed her hair for the first time ever tonight (we are hoping it will give it some umph to grow)), her clothes are all laid out. She is one big girl now!  Addi will be in a toddler room just like at her old school, she is also all set with a backpack and the same matching outfit as her sissy! They will be there the same amount of time three days a week all day while I am at work. Seeing its a new school I forsee some obstacles and some getting used to in the next few weeks, but we embrace the challenges and are very hopefull that this school is the best place for the girls to be while we are working.

In other news Adelina turned 18 months last week! She is still our very little peanut weighing in at 18 lbs 5 ounnces and 2 1/2 feet tall. Seeing that her gears mentally and physically are always in motion, it is hard for her to gain weight! Girls got some mad acrobatic and climbing skills. She is so stinking smart. She knows about 250-275 words can speak in 3-4 word sentences and is like a walking parrot! She repeats the funniest things she has heard and can remember. She is fiesty as can be. She loves her sister and loves attention from her. She loves to Drive da car (sit in out cars and pretend to drive), she also loves to read and be read to, sing common nursery rhymes (she can sing on her own itsy bitsy spider, if your happy and you know it, ABC's and many more). She has crazy wild and curly white hair. She still sucks her middle and ring fingers. We love her personality more every day!

More to come soon on school starting!! Hope everyone's summer is coming to a sweet end!
