Big Sister

So It's officially official. Tyler and I are expecting a second baby right around Valentine's Day! So that means one thing, Miss Franki is going to be a BIG Sister! And we are soooo lucky to get to be parents again. We have a couple more weeks to find out weather or not this baby is a boy or a girl. Until then we wait and see. So far this baby is doing very well. Im currently 15 weeks along and feeling wonderful. I have pretty much felt the exact same this pregnancy as I did with Miss Franki. So that is good news. Just a little nausea here or there. Ive definitely been more tired this time around but I think that in part has to do with working and taking care of a toddler who is frantically running around all the time. So luckily now I am out of the 1st trimester getting all of my energy back and just trying to enjoy this pregnancy as much as I did with Franki. We are blessed to be having another baby and just couldnt be happier with our lives so far.

On another note. Miss Franki is now 13 months old. She is soooo funny. She continues to have an all out obsession with Hulk. She frequently kisses him, lays her head on him while he is laying down and just laughs at whatever he is doing. They love playing tug of war with each other and they are definitely best buds. She loves books. She brings books and sits right in your lap waiting for you to read them. She also sits in her big girl chair and reads every book she has. Her favorite book is called Doggies (big surprise since she loves doggies :)) She has added all done to her list of sign's. We have been working on others but she just laughs when I use them. She is very independent. She knows how to get up stairs, down stairs when sitting on her butt, she can get off the couch all by herself. She just loves being able to do anything she can by herself. She refuses to let you feed her, she must take control, even if it means spilling all the milk from her cereal bowl. She is definitely a very messy little girl, but she enjoys her dirt eating, flower picking, sphagetti-o faces. She loves her baby dolls. She loves building things and then knocking them over, and over and over again.

It's hard to believe that we will have another baby soon. I know at first when I found out I was having a baby, my initial feelings were guiltly. I know when this baby comes Ill be just as in love with the baby as I am with Franki, but its hard to even imagine having to share my precious time with my Franki girl. So for now, I soak up all the one on one time I can get! Here's to a wonderful exciting life that we have ahead of us!

Quick update!

Franki is as busy as ever these days. She is having full blown conversations with us (in another language of course!). She literally babbles all day long and very loudy, she likes to make her presence known that is for sure. She absolutely loves her baby dolls and her baby friends ( Little London).  She is still not the greatest sleeper or eater out there. She takes a great morning nap but her afternoon naps are few and far between Which means she is usually fast asleep by 6:30 at night. She is into tantrum throwing especially when you take things away from her that she really wants. Her newest is that she throws her whole face into the ground and covers her eyes while she cries. She recovers when she realizes there are about a hundred other things she can grab or play with! Its actualy quite comical. Here are some recent pictures of our sweet, sassy little Franki!

Luau Party and 1 year stats!

We had a Luau themed first birthday party for Miss Franki and my parent's house with family and friends. She was loving showing off for all the people and also liked meeting some new people whom hadnt had the chance to come to see her yet. She of course got spoiled with TONS of new wonderful toys, books, dolls and all sorts of good stuff. She is one lucky girl with lots of new fun things to play with. It was a beautiful sunny day for a beautiful little girl. I am so happy we were able to celebrate her first year of life with so many great people.

Her most recent stats are

18llbs 3 oz (5th percentile)
29 inches long (50th percentile)
17.3 Head Circumference (35th percentile)

She is fully transitioned to whole milk and big girl cups. She is starting to use sign language as a form of communication. It is amazing to see how quickly she is learning new things. She is just loving the outside and anything that comes with it, it has been so nice out we have been able to enjoy all the benefits  of the outdoors. Franki had her first trip to the brookfield zoo and loved looking at the animals (She ooos and ahhs at all the animals).  She is just a mini delight and has been adapting so well to our very busy lives this summer! Cant wait to see what this little toddler will be doing soon.

Dear Francesca,

This has been the very best year of my (our) life. You are the sweetest, funniest baby I have ever met. You are the light of my life. I have really never been so happy or fulfilled in my entire life. The day you entered this world 7/28/11 at 8:34, began what has been the best most rewarding time of our lives. Watching you grow and change has really made us so proud. It has been a year filled with great milestones and all sorts of exciting changes for you and for us as parents. We are filled with such great joy and accomplishment every time you learn something new and each time you show us your sweet little personality. Your smile, your eyes and your disposition have already touched the lives of many people. You have brought so much joy into our surrouding family. You make family gatherings all that much better. You are the center of attention and I think we could probably all sit around and watch you for hours. You are seriously that entertaining. You have so much love to give, it is amazing that such a little person can have so much love. I continue to have high hopes for you always my sweet girl because you have proven to be such a blessing over the past year and have shown how wonderful you have made our life.  Im so thankful for you. I love the way you like to hold hands when you are falling asleep. Your little funny self loves to play peek-a-boo and you give everyone kisses. I love that I got to nourish you with milk for a whole year of your life and now you are ready for big girl food and milk. I just love being your mom. You make me proud to be a mother, teacher, friend. I cant wait to see what the next year of your life brings to this family. I look forward to teaching you new things and continue learning your little quirks and personality. Happy Birthday sweet baby girl. I love you more than life. I cant believe you have gone from this to this in just one short year. Love always and forever, Your Mom-Mom and Dada
