Snowy Days and Sweet Sisters

We are starting to establish a routine around this house. The cold weather makes it a little harder with two under two. Franki is a go-getter. So we have had to do quite a bit of improvising. In the morning we wake up and eat breakfast, play a little with our farm animals or letters. When Addi goes down for her morning snooze I put her in the crib so that Franki and I can do a morning activity or play just the two of us in the basement. Then Addi wakes up and we play the rest of the morning together, either reading, dolls, kitchen or other actitivities. Then lunch, nap for both girls for now anyway. I clean because wow  it amazing how dirty things can get with two kids in tow! After naps, Franki and I return to the downstairs and usually play and also entertain addi on her play mat. Franki loves to torture miss Addi with kisses, hugs, and lots of love! There is a lot of love going on in this house for sure. We also have a lot of crazy in between things that happen. Franki is definitely a toddler these days, she can go from cool sweet franki to NO. NO. NO. Mine. Mine. Mine within seconds. We have been using lots of re-direction and she responds really well to it. We try to avoid saying No to her unless she is going to hurt someone else or hurt herself. So far adjusting to life with two! Enjoy some recent pictures of the gals!

She has an obsession with her Sissy. She loves to tell her where to sit and when to hold her.

Proof of above mentioned meltdown!

Indoor fun= Bathtime painting!

Adelina Antoinette!

Adelina "Addi" Antoinette Fevold arrived on February 14th @ 648 in the morning. She weighed in at  6 llbs 8 oz, 21 inches. I was originally scheduled to be induced on V-day at 715 in the morning, so as you see she had other plans for her arrival. Monday afternoon I had a doctor appointment. He checked me and I was still 4 cm, but my contractions had become slightly more consistent and strong starting sunday night into monday. So it was at that point I wasnt confident that labor was going to start seeing I still hadnt made any progress. However by 3 pm I was consistently contracting every 6 minutes and they were strong enough to take my breath away. I called my physician who said to hang out a while longer walk around some and come to hospital when they were silghtly closer together and stronger, especially since we live so close to the hospital. So Tyler came home from work, we took a wak, I did a little wii just dance to its raining men!. Then I put my sweet Franki to sleep. By that time my mom and sister were over at our house and my contractions were now consitently 5 minutes apart and getting stronger. We decided it was time to take it over to the hospital. I got to the hospital at 7 pm. I still had made no change, really ugh. But I was contracting strongly and consistently and my doctor was confident that my body was doing what it needed to do in order to have this baby as naturally as possible. Therefore I got hooked up to a monitor and just hung out with Tyler and Ellen. At about midnight there was little changes but nothing major so we decided to try to take a nap. Not easy to sleep with strong consistent contractions. Literally I would sleep 4 minutes and then contract and be wide awake again. So it was around 400 that I decided it was time for an epidural since my pain was significant painful and I was now fighting being exhausted. Got my epidural at 0430. And fell asleep until 5 when my water broke! I felt her drop into my pelvis and my water break. In just 30 minutes I was 7 cm. By 6 am I was 8 cm and with contractions 10 cm. The nurse said she was just going to hang out in the room, she didnt want me pushing. However I really wanted to push, feeling lots of pressure as the baby was ready to come out. We waited til the doctor got there around 630 and then it was time to get ready and push. I pushed 9 times and there she was! It was a wonderful birth process. I was so able to allow my body to just do what it needed to do in order to get her out. I could tell right away she was smaller than miss franki had been. She is so cute! She is long and skinny with a tiny little head. She resembles franki, but has a little more dark hair and a slightly different nose. She also has much less roundness to her face. We will see all her changes in the next few months bring. We are now home and adjusting to life as a family of four! Enjoy our Adelina! P.S. Adelina means noble or small winged one. Her middle name is after her Great Grandma Antoinette Rossi. We couldnt be more happy to give her a piece of her great grandma. We couldnt think of a better way to honor my wonderful grandma. I can only hope she is smiling down on this baby girl!

Update

Weve just about rendered and kicked out all of those nasty germs we had in our house the past few weeks. So its official that we are all ready for baby number 2. Unless she decides to come on her own she is all set and scheduled to be forced out of her nice warm little home on Febuary 14th at 715 in the AM. The party begins at 715 that is and hopefully considering my body is already more than half way there she will arrive fairly quickly just by breaking her watery little home. We will see what the next few days bring! I have been crafting all kinds of fun things for the girls room and for the new kinds of learning activities for franki. I have to Thank the website pinterest for giving me all kinds of wonderful cheap inspiration to fill our house with. I love it!, it is keeping me busy at night when Franki goes to sleep so that I dont sit around thinking about when this baby is going to arrive! Franki is finally back to her normal fun loving goofy self. We played at the park today and then went to an indoor play area for jumping and more slides. This girl loves a good slide and probably could play all day long on slides. Her and I have just been having lots of fun together in these last few days before all our time is going to be split between two babies. Here's to our soon to be Valentine's Baby!

18 months and Germs Galore

Our baby is a year and a half, wowza! I cant believe how quickly time goes by. She is still quite the little sponge. She still has lots of very long conversations (most of which you cant understand) but throws in some real words in there on occasion. I think she can say aout 20 words total (I should say most of her words get the first two letters of each word). For example water is wawa, dance is dadan (with is always accompnied by some sweet dance moves), mom-mom, dada, Hulk (HU), emma, sam, elmo, barney (BAee), up, duck, hop, hot, light, yes, no, stop, dog, apple, orange (Oung), nana, papa, she also continues to use signs for things that she cannot yet say such as milk, please, thank you, more, sorry, eat, spoon.
She loves to play with her kitchen and pretend food. She cooks and talks on the phone and has a great imagination. She mixes pretend things up and eats pretend food. It is so fun to watch her imagination grow. She also loves her babies and feeding them, pushing them in the stroller and giving them rubs on the back. She also loves buidling blocks and legos and loves animals. Instead if saying the animal names she just makes the noise of the animal. She loves to look for the geese in the sky and wave to them as they fly by, airplanes, and trains. She is just a funny funny gal and has brought more joy to me in a year and a half than I have ever had in my entire life. She is a joy to be around and continues to surprise us with new things everyday.

Sick eyes

Popsicles at the Doctor, still not so happy

Couch Lovin, shes mad that I needed to get up and go to the bathroom

Cant even keep her sweet eyes open, p.s. look at that awesome couch staticed hair!

Getting out of the house for a quick wagon ride

Starting to brighten up, at least for 10 minutes of bath time.
The thing is the poor baby hasnt been her smiling loving self in over a week. Unfortunately daycare has really gotten the brunt of her immune system. She had a fever, nasty cough and running nose starting friday. The fever persisted through tuesday. We went to the doctor on monday and she got antibiotics for an ear infection on top of a respiratory virus. So we literally have been holed up for days snuggled together watching barney and other various dance videos. She gets about a ten to fifteen minute happiness or playfullness every 4 hours or so, but otherwise she really is completely out of comission. I took off monday and stayed with her but had to go back to work today and she spent the whole day on the couch at daycare still very slowly recupperating from her illness. Poor thing got hit hard this time. Needless to say it is breaking my heart. I hate seeing my sweet girl feel so sick and also so helpless. Im ready for my sweet baby girl to be back to feeling like her playful, energetic self. OUr unborn child is also hoping for a germless house in the very near future, YIKES! Winter babies freak me out, ugh. Anyway this is just a small glimpse into what Sick looks like on us.
