First day!

We all survived the big first week of preschool at the girls new daycare! And guess what?! By day two smiles were had by both girls who joined right in with new friends and teachers! These girls love people, being heard, and new friends so naturally they jumped head first into school! It made my heart so happy. Franki immediately asked if she could go back again which is always a good sign! And her new friends name is Francesca, she goes by cesca! Fitting that franki would find her partner in crime with the same name! I have high hopes for these girls and as we start week 2, I think both girls will be running through the door by the end of the week. There in great hands. And learning so much that's so much to be thankful for. Many more first days to come!!

2 new post,one night!

Happenings Summer 2013

Preschool officially starts this week! :) Which kinda means that summer is slowly coming to an end. So we have lived it up! I have only worked three days so far in the month of August. We went to Tyler's parents lake house, we spent some time at home with just the girls as a family and I have set out on a few little adventures with my girls these past few weeks. We have spent lots of time in the sand and in the water. The girls love both so it is fitting to find us in out bathing suits most days. Unfortunately the weather has not cooperated as much as we would have liked but seeing as building sand castles can provide for hours of fun, it has all worked  out! Since we saw how much the girls liked the sand and water in Minnesota we found our own little spot to take the girls to this weekend. We spent the day with my parents in Lake Geneva on the beach swimming and running up sand hills, eating some crunchy sand with our picnic lunch. We have also spent lots of time playing outside with neighborhood friends, riding bikes and just letting the kids be kids. Isnt that the best part about warm weather, all you need is a little sunshine, good people and kids to have a fun time. We went to the park the other day and the girls got "underdogs" on the swings for an hour. I wish I could have bottled up the sound of there laughter! As fun as it has been we are ready to wind down some long summer days with routines all out of whack and get ourselves back on track. The girls will be starting there new daycare aka "school" on Tuesday. For Franki she will be in the preschool classroom learning all sorts of new things. She loves to learn so I cant wait to hear all the stories she will have to tell us. She is all ready for school, backpack is packed, I trimmed her hair for the first time ever tonight (we are hoping it will give it some umph to grow)), her clothes are all laid out. She is one big girl now!  Addi will be in a toddler room just like at her old school, she is also all set with a backpack and the same matching outfit as her sissy! They will be there the same amount of time three days a week all day while I am at work. Seeing its a new school I forsee some obstacles and some getting used to in the next few weeks, but we embrace the challenges and are very hopefull that this school is the best place for the girls to be while we are working.

In other news Adelina turned 18 months last week! She is still our very little peanut weighing in at 18 lbs 5 ounnces and 2 1/2 feet tall. Seeing that her gears mentally and physically are always in motion, it is hard for her to gain weight! Girls got some mad acrobatic and climbing skills. She is so stinking smart. She knows about 250-275 words can speak in 3-4 word sentences and is like a walking parrot! She repeats the funniest things she has heard and can remember. She is fiesty as can be. She loves her sister and loves attention from her. She loves to Drive da car (sit in out cars and pretend to drive), she also loves to read and be read to, sing common nursery rhymes (she can sing on her own itsy bitsy spider, if your happy and you know it, ABC's and many more). She has crazy wild and curly white hair. She still sucks her middle and ring fingers. We love her personality more every day!

More to come soon on school starting!! Hope everyone's summer is coming to a sweet end!

Happy 3rd Birthday

My spunky, dramatic, animated little 3 year old Franki, Franks, Franki girl, Frankenstein. I cant believe you are 3 years old already. Where has the time gone. Your seem to change a little with every passing moment. You are one of the most caring, sensual little people I have ever come across. You care so deeply for the people around you, your friends, and family mean the world to you and you are always so concerned about the well being of us all. If i am upset you immediately come over to me and ask me if i am sad and what can you do to make me happy. I love that side of you baby girl and I hope you carry it with you always. Please take care of those who come across your path. You are also silly. You love to make people laugh. You dance, wiggle and shake and you think it is the funniest thing in the world. When you dance you dont have another care in the world, you let your head hang back and shake every little muscle in your body. You  turn on a light for us all when we see you dance, it immediately makes mommy and daddy smile and forget all the things we may be doing in that moment. You love the water and you love watching the look on our faces when we are proud of you. Your strive for attention and its pretty impossible to ignore you with that beautiful little smile and sweet little dimple. Your imagination runs wild, you create the impossible out of nothing. Its one of the most beautiful things about you. I love watching you turn a towel into a wedding dress and use markers to "repair it and add bows". Reading books and singing is one of your favorite pastimes. You still love to hold my hand every night as you fall asleep. I know it wont last forever, so for now I cherish the moments i get to spend at night with you to breathe you in to hold that tiny hand in mind until you drift to sleep. Your are one of a kind and I have no idea what my life was like before you graced it with your silly little animations and your quirky little needs! Your are strong, You are caring, You are wise beyond your years, You are my beautiful baby girl forever and ever (as you would say) . Love you me much bear.

3 year stats: 28.6 lbs, 3 feet tall

summer so far

Summer so far...

Its been a fun filled, full summer so far, at least the next few weekends ease up for us. Franki and Tyler were in a wedding in June. It was a beautiful wedding of one of Tyler';s college friends and Franki looked and played the flower girl so well! She is a proud little lady in life and she was just so happy to walk and smile! Each weekend we usually also either make a pool stop or set the pool up in our mini front yard. The weekend after the wedding we went camping all the way from winfield to wheaton! It was great. The girls absolutely loved it! We fished, set up our tent, had a fire, read some books, cooked smores and just enjoyed the outdoors. It was the perfect little getaway and the girls did so good! They slept well and thought being in the tent was the COOLEST thing ever. Franki has asked about it every weekend since! Then it was the fourth of July. Last year we did not have a parade or fireworks because of the drought. So this year we went all out. I took friday off so we have a long four day weekend to spend together! We went to the fourth of July parade, fireworks, ate ribs and just played. Oh yeah and Franki fell down a full flight of stairs (she was ok, thank goodness). We just enjoyed our time together, went swimming, went fishing and took walks, worked on Franki;s bike riding skills! Then this weekend I went to Bon Jovi and we had a city wedding on saturday. It has been full on packed. Franki also started swimming lessons and has been awesome. She really surprises us sometimes. I always say she has more of a timid personality when it comes to doing things, but this girl has made skills when it comes to learning new things especially when it comes from other people, In this case a highschooler. Franki has made leaps and bounds in the swimming pool! Just a few weeks ago she was hated getting her face wet even in the bath, now she is jumping the the water getting her face wet! She also loves going! Addi on the other hand would jump in the depe end if you let her, so I am sure I need swimming lessons for her starting soon!

Fun loving summer with friends and family! We are really blessed to be the parents of these beautiful babies!

Quick update

Sorry for the lack of updating lately. We have been busy living life and enjoying some summer sun. We have had to battle quite a lot of rain so far this summer but in between the rain we have been enjoying the pool, parks, playtime with friends. Franki is growing up so quickly and everyday is becoming quite the inquisitive little girl. She asks smart questions about everything and is so interested in learning new things. One of her favorite activities is searching for bugs, running around outside, learning to ride her bike with training wheels, swimming at the pool, playing dolls, and wrestling with her sister. She is definitely a type A first child. She is very protective of her sister and will tell her when she is not following directions. She has a definite nervous personality, currently she is scared that the dark means storms and with all the nasty storms I don't really blame her with all the crazy storms we have had. Her personality is so big, she loves people and attention.

Adelini (one of her newer nick names) is still our tiny little peanut. She is drinking two cans of pediasure a day for weight gain, but this girl burns calories like no ones business. She continues to be so feisty and so sure of herself and what she wants. She gives us a run for out money everyday. Girl loves to be held and is frequently saying "uppie me". She loves playing in her toy car, with dolls, and loves all animals. When she is falling asleep you can usually here her mooing, naying, oinking and various other animal noises. She is so smart. I cant believe  how many words she knows. She is using 3-4 words together at a time. She loves Doc Mcstuffins and pretends to be Doc and says Doc is in all the time. her favorite word is no and she says it with a full mouth of sass. She thinks its funny to put large objects in her mouth and run away. She giggles all day long and always tells you when she thinks things are "funny". She is a whole bunch of loveable trouble I tell ya!

And did I mention these girls are so much fun to watch together. They love playing together.

Spring has Sprung

We have been enjoying the sun and warmer weather here in Illinois and hope it is here to stay. The girls love being outside. They are happier, less irritable, more entertained and just overall much more relaxed when they can be outside running around and playing with all the Earth has to offer. Im telling you in the summer its almost as if you do not need any toys. The girls along with the neighbor girls explore bugs, dig up dirt, collect rocks and other "things" around the neighborhood, and run there sillies out. I love chasing them all over the yard and they love it. We love having great neighbors that the girls can play with day in and day out. Addi does her best to keep up with Franki, she is always just a few steps behind and she hates to miss even just a second of fun. She has to be doing what the other girls are doing, in fact today she cried because they other girls all had on there bathing suits and I thought it was too cold for her tiny body to be running around in a swim suit and boy was she mad at me! She isnt afraid to let you know either.

A few things I want to cherish and remember about each girl at this age.

Franki: She has such a sweet personality. The other night we went to our neighbors school fashion show and when Sophie was done, Franki sat next to her put her arm around her and just kept patting her back and smiling . she was so proud and wanted her friend to know. She is constantly hugging and loving on her friends. While at the same time, girl can have a crazy mean , wild side. She tackles her sister down like its no ones business (it usually looks so rough., but little sister doesnt seem to mind and just laughs). She can be very stubborn and when she wants something she will not be shy about letting you know. She likes when people compliment her and will actually go out of her way to get compliments like puff her chest out and point to her shirt and just wait for someone, anyone :) to compliment her. Then she will flash you her big dimpled smile. She has this saying that no one knows where it comes from and can come out of nowhere, but she will say " I told you I never care" and will pout and laugh as she says it. Girl is goofy I tell you. She is really starting to be great at imaginative play. She plays out elaborate themes with her dolls and around the house. She can do one heck of a sumersault. She likes to test the waters for a few minuntes before she will try anything knew, cautious until she realizes the fun and will then give it 100%. She is often singing or dancing and loves to come up with her own lyrics. Her favorite tv shows, Dora, Doc and Sophia. Her best friends, Addi, Sophie, Milha, Josie, Emma. I still have to  hold her hand until she falls asleep, which can be anywhere from 15-45 minutes ( i read a lot). She hates water on her face and washing her hair but loves the bath and playing in the water. She is sporting her cery first piggies at 2 3/4!

Addi: She is very articulate. She loves wearing her coat, hat and shoes (we often have to hide them from her inside because she wants to wear them when she sees them). She loves playing with her sister and does her best to keep up for all occasions. Her favorite word is NO and she does this sweet pucker of her lips right before she says it. She loves to entertain, especially in restaurants she giggles and tries to get attention. She is on the move all day long, girl never stops, she goes from one toy to the next. She is down to one nap. She still is a good eater. She loves Hulk. I mean loves. She pets him nicely, sbe brings him toys to play with and constantly bothers him. She loves to laugh and be tickled she will throw herself into your lap just to get you to tickler her. She likes to climb on just about everything. She has a bit of a wild side I would say! She jumps right into any and every activcity with full zest. She really has no fear. Her favorite friends are Franki, milha, Sophie and Brayden. She is surrounded by boys at school and they call her snow white since she is the only girl. I think that is where she learns to play rough. She loves baby dolls (much more than Franki did at this age). She will even pretend to change there diapers, feed them put them to bed, etc. All you have to do is lay her down and she goes right to sleep each night with her blanky. She has to drink one can of pediasure per day for weight gain (well see where she is at in two weeks). She has a hard time gaining weight due to her high activity! She loves a good wet kiss and all you have to do is tell her you love her and she puckers up her lips for a kiss (her way of saying it back). She has mini piggies already!

I love watching there different personalities bloom.
