Quick update

Sorry for the lack of updating lately. We have been busy living life and enjoying some summer sun. We have had to battle quite a lot of rain so far this summer but in between the rain we have been enjoying the pool, parks, playtime with friends. Franki is growing up so quickly and everyday is becoming quite the inquisitive little girl. She asks smart questions about everything and is so interested in learning new things. One of her favorite activities is searching for bugs, running around outside, learning to ride her bike with training wheels, swimming at the pool, playing dolls, and wrestling with her sister. She is definitely a type A first child. She is very protective of her sister and will tell her when she is not following directions. She has a definite nervous personality, currently she is scared that the dark means storms and with all the nasty storms I don't really blame her with all the crazy storms we have had. Her personality is so big, she loves people and attention.

Adelini (one of her newer nick names) is still our tiny little peanut. She is drinking two cans of pediasure a day for weight gain, but this girl burns calories like no ones business. She continues to be so feisty and so sure of herself and what she wants. She gives us a run for out money everyday. Girl loves to be held and is frequently saying "uppie me". She loves playing in her toy car, with dolls, and loves all animals. When she is falling asleep you can usually here her mooing, naying, oinking and various other animal noises. She is so smart. I cant believe  how many words she knows. She is using 3-4 words together at a time. She loves Doc Mcstuffins and pretends to be Doc and says Doc is in all the time. her favorite word is no and she says it with a full mouth of sass. She thinks its funny to put large objects in her mouth and run away. She giggles all day long and always tells you when she thinks things are "funny". She is a whole bunch of loveable trouble I tell ya!

And did I mention these girls are so much fun to watch together. They love playing together.

Spring has Sprung

We have been enjoying the sun and warmer weather here in Illinois and hope it is here to stay. The girls love being outside. They are happier, less irritable, more entertained and just overall much more relaxed when they can be outside running around and playing with all the Earth has to offer. Im telling you in the summer its almost as if you do not need any toys. The girls along with the neighbor girls explore bugs, dig up dirt, collect rocks and other "things" around the neighborhood, and run there sillies out. I love chasing them all over the yard and they love it. We love having great neighbors that the girls can play with day in and day out. Addi does her best to keep up with Franki, she is always just a few steps behind and she hates to miss even just a second of fun. She has to be doing what the other girls are doing, in fact today she cried because they other girls all had on there bathing suits and I thought it was too cold for her tiny body to be running around in a swim suit and boy was she mad at me! She isnt afraid to let you know either.

A few things I want to cherish and remember about each girl at this age.

Franki: She has such a sweet personality. The other night we went to our neighbors school fashion show and when Sophie was done, Franki sat next to her put her arm around her and just kept patting her back and smiling . she was so proud and wanted her friend to know. She is constantly hugging and loving on her friends. While at the same time, girl can have a crazy mean , wild side. She tackles her sister down like its no ones business (it usually looks so rough., but little sister doesnt seem to mind and just laughs). She can be very stubborn and when she wants something she will not be shy about letting you know. She likes when people compliment her and will actually go out of her way to get compliments like puff her chest out and point to her shirt and just wait for someone, anyone :) to compliment her. Then she will flash you her big dimpled smile. She has this saying that no one knows where it comes from and can come out of nowhere, but she will say " I told you I never care" and will pout and laugh as she says it. Girl is goofy I tell you. She is really starting to be great at imaginative play. She plays out elaborate themes with her dolls and around the house. She can do one heck of a sumersault. She likes to test the waters for a few minuntes before she will try anything knew, cautious until she realizes the fun and will then give it 100%. She is often singing or dancing and loves to come up with her own lyrics. Her favorite tv shows, Dora, Doc and Sophia. Her best friends, Addi, Sophie, Milha, Josie, Emma. I still have to  hold her hand until she falls asleep, which can be anywhere from 15-45 minutes ( i read a lot). She hates water on her face and washing her hair but loves the bath and playing in the water. She is sporting her cery first piggies at 2 3/4!

Addi: She is very articulate. She loves wearing her coat, hat and shoes (we often have to hide them from her inside because she wants to wear them when she sees them). She loves playing with her sister and does her best to keep up for all occasions. Her favorite word is NO and she does this sweet pucker of her lips right before she says it. She loves to entertain, especially in restaurants she giggles and tries to get attention. She is on the move all day long, girl never stops, she goes from one toy to the next. She is down to one nap. She still is a good eater. She loves Hulk. I mean loves. She pets him nicely, sbe brings him toys to play with and constantly bothers him. She loves to laugh and be tickled she will throw herself into your lap just to get you to tickler her. She likes to climb on just about everything. She has a bit of a wild side I would say! She jumps right into any and every activcity with full zest. She really has no fear. Her favorite friends are Franki, milha, Sophie and Brayden. She is surrounded by boys at school and they call her snow white since she is the only girl. I think that is where she learns to play rough. She loves baby dolls (much more than Franki did at this age). She will even pretend to change there diapers, feed them put them to bed, etc. All you have to do is lay her down and she goes right to sleep each night with her blanky. She has to drink one can of pediasure per day for weight gain (well see where she is at in two weeks). She has a hard time gaining weight due to her high activity! She loves a good wet kiss and all you have to do is tell her you love her and she puckers up her lips for a kiss (her way of saying it back). She has mini piggies already!

I love watching there different personalities bloom.

Praying today. Hope for tomorrow

Life continues to get away from us. Tonight we hug our babies closer, let them stay up later, snuggle closer and eat just one more snack. We take it all in and look at life just a little closer on days like today and everyday in between. The world has become a scary place, each day I am more baffled by the things we have to witness the things that I will have to one day be able to explain to my children when I am not even sure I can explain to myself the things that are happening. Tonight even as my two sweet babies sleep, i look at the pictures of there sweet innocent faces. Tonight we light one extra candle for the people of Boston and the other for hope for the future of our children.

We can only pray that things get better, we can hold onto hope that these faces will see the good things that are still surrounding us.

The babes are growing and changing. 2 3/4 and 14 months. Growing and glowing.

Winter Blues

Needless to say we are so sick of winter at the Fevold household! It is freezing outside and we are just plain not used to it after having such nice weather for such an extended period. The girls are definitely bred from me considering they pretty much hate any weather under 32 degrees. And so does there immune system. They have gotten every bug under the sun as have all the other little children at the daycare. It is being passed around like the plague. Addi has had a running nose for a year. And Franki is down to saying "Go away cough, leave me alone". This girl knows she wants to feel 100% again. She also had hernia surgery. Her little belly button popped out and now it is all fixed. It was a quick day procedure with the doctor I work with and trust 100%. She did really well, her usual feisty self, even the drugs couldnt keep away the little personality that she has. The called me early from recovery saying this mom needs to come get her child jumping out of the bed and yelling for me?! Yep thats my girl. Despite her numbness in her belly and her pain medications she wanted just like her mama to do everything and anything by herself. She would get mad if you tried helping her get to the bathroom or get her to sit down. She is truly her mother's child, persistent, independent and on the go at anytime. She was feeling all better in no time and was running around flipping off the couch quickly. So lests hope soon we will have some warm weather to get out all of our dust bunnies from the long winter! Addi is throwing no and mine all over the  place lately and she is ready to run and play outside! Her are some great shots caught on the phone and in the moment!

Post mickey mouse live this past weekend: Addi was caught smiling and laughing and shaking her bummy the whole time!Franki wanted more princessed and popcorn

Her new twinkle toes from uncle arch!

A cupcake outing on a cold day, it was the reward for the girls tolerating a cold walk!

One year Pictures!

We have been busy battling the winter viruses, runny noses, and birthday bliss. Some good some bad but that is what the winter in Chicago entails. Both girls were sick for over 10 days. It was grueling process but we are all on the mend and have even gotten to enjoy some snow days recently. We have built snowmen with friends and just relaxed as a family. Check out our pictures of our sweet sisters!
We are loving these beautiful girls and there forever growing relationship.

Happy 1st Birthday!

Adelina Antoinette will be one this week! I still cannot believe that one year ago we were getting ready to have this sweet girl. She has brought so much joy into all of our lives. She lights up a room with her crooked toothy grin and mischevious eyes! The love between Franki and Addi is undeniable and absolutely amazing to watch. They can make each other laugh at the slightest facial expression, movement, touch. Addi is currently into everything her sister does, she gets frustrated if she cant do what Franki does, i.e jump off the couch, climb all over everything, eat certain foods, etc. I should also state she is one tough cookie. If she wants to do something or get something she will do everything in her power to get it. She has all boys in her school room at school and I think maybe she learns a thing or two about roughness from them. She inhales when she laughs  and it always takes her a minute to catch her breath. She has the sweetest little elbow dimples that I could kiss forever. She loves giving open mouth kisses to everyone. She says, HI , mama, dada, hulk, night night, bye bye, ball, nana and is very vocal and finds a way to communicate with us through pointing and sounds. We have been working on signs with her, she can do food, all done, milk, cup. She loves playing with anything that tests her motor skills such as opening and closing cups, stacking items, mixing water, etc. Her mind is always at work looking for new things to learn and do. She goes up stairs well but down is a whole other story. She really just adds a whole other personality to this home that I cant imagine our lives without. She literally has brought so much Love into all of our hearts and home (Thats what a Valentine's Baby will do :)) She gives the best hugs and greetings. She literally runs into the arms of people she knows to hug and snuggle her head up onto your leg or shoulder. (or just wipe her nose all over your shirt).  Almost Happy Birthday to my Amazing little Lovebug!

Franki is now 2.5 years old. She turns everything into song nowadays. She is a talking machine. Everyday her recall and her amount of knowledge continue to amaze me. She constantly talks about her love for different people. Her favorite things are school, friends, family and dancing. She loves being surrounded by people and entertaining everyone. She can be shy at first but as soon as she gets to know you watch out because youll have a new best buddy! She is such a sweet tender hearted kid. She always says please and thank you. She constantly shares stuff with her friends and most of the times listens really well. She is cautious and curious which makes for an interesting combination.  She is an amazing big sister and daughter. Her little smile continues to light up our life and gets her out of all kinds of sticky situations!
