Let it Snow

We asked for snow awhile back and we got exaclty what we were asking for and even a little bit more. A snow storm hit just in time for Franki to get violently ill, so that the entire one mile that we drive from daycare to home which took 30 minutes she puked and puked and puked some more. Not any situation I want to be in for a very long time again, so if the snow wants to pack up and go away Im ok with that now too. She wasnt sick long thank goodness, but I tell you this little thing gets sick and it breaks my heart. I was glad she was back to her lovely self on saturday. Daycare is defintely taking a toll on her little immune system. Its breaking it in before she heads off to school someday. However the last two snows we have gotten to spend a little time in the snow (little meaning 30 minutes since it snows and then gets very very cold). Enjoy some pictures of miss Franki in her sled!

Off to a good start...

2012 has been off an running. It has been a busy but fufilling month so far. We jumped right in so to speak. Everyone was back to work and back to enjoying more family and friend time. Tyler started a new job (thank goodness, no more night shift, we were starting to get lonely and kinda scared). He landed a stellar job, which was a blessing in disguise. Sometimes one job lets you go so that another better opportunity can present itself. We are definitely happy and proud. Franki is now at daycare. We loved having Ellen as our Nanny, but it was time for her to start her life adn her career and unfortunatley we cant afford to help her do that! It was so nice having my own sister care for Franki for so long. They have a lifelong relationship and i was just so thankful to be able to leave her in reliable hands for such a long time. So now she is off to the next stage of her life and so is miss franki. Franki is now in the good hands of one of Ellens best friends mom. She owns a home daycare. Franki so far is loving it. The first two days she actually waved goodbye to me. It was like she knew she got to play with other kids her age all day long. She is pooped and messy by the times she gets home, but I can tell how happy she is when I get there. It is clear she is a favorite in the house and that she is also just a total social bug! This girl just cracks everyone up! It has been wonderful that is that. We have gone swimming (indoor of course), played in some snow, played with friends, gone to the childrens museum and are in a mommy and me dance class! Its been busy so today we lounged in our pjs all day long and stayed away from the frigid cold wind. I see quite a few days of this in our future especially with a new baby on the way and the cold temperatures have arrived. I think we will embrace the quiet days as they come. Besides these are the days I get to spend wtih my girl so i like to take advantage and play all day and pjs make playing that much more fun! Updates on Baby Girl # 2. Im currently 4 cm dilated which is about where I was with Franki at this point. Lots of contractions but slow and steadily moving forward. Doc said could be today or weeks from now, that this baby is unpredictable. We will see :) Either way we are ready and of course Baby number 2 is  already spoiled and going to be looking quite spiffy just as her sister is. We have lots of matching outfits, and I just think it is so stinkin cute on sisters! Few more weeks til we have two baby girls,. Until then I just enjoy every minute with my Franki! Pictures to follow tomorrow , right now its back to relaxing and reading my kindle fire!

Goodbye 20-11, Hello 20-12

A brief year in review: Overall a wonderful year. I got to watch my little baby turn into a now full-fledged toddler! Its amazing to see how much she has learned and how she has won over the hearts of so many people just by being her sweet little self. There are so many things I have learned and loved about her this year, that I cant wait to see all the new things she will begin to do in the year to come. Mainly I cant wait to see her in her soon to be big sister role. I just know the times will be busy but priceless and I am nervous but so excited to take on this new endevor. Ill treasure 2011 forever mainly because it will have been my year with my first little girl. It was a year of learning her trademarks and learning the easy and hard way to become a mother to her. I love and never want to forget jsut a few of her toddler qualities. I love that she loves to hold hand, and the way she rubs your hand each night as she falls asleep. I love the way she cuddles up against me on the couch. I love her sweet left-sided dimple. I love her hugs and the way she leans in for a kiss while making a mmmmm sound. I love her independence. I love the way she talks with her hands, its the "Italian" in her blood. I love when she is feisty. I love that she is messy, eating, coloring, playing, etc. I love how she loves hulk, she kisses him and aggrevates him. She has a genuine love for animals in general. I love how excited she gets and wiggles her little arms when she runs. There is so much to love about this sweet girl. Those just to name a few go down as my favorites with Franki in 2011. Check out her at the Teeny Weenie New Years Bash we went too! We also had a wonderful night with our good friends and it was the perfect end of one year and beginning of another! Heres to a great year overall. We feel blessed to have what we have.
